Youth Leagues

WELCOME, to Basketball America’s Youth League Program. Our program is designed to give kids the opportunity to play basketball or volleyball in a clean healthy environment promoting good sportsmanship and team play. This is a recreational league with volunteer coaches aiding in the development of basketball & volleyball players.

Tryouts are designed to help us evaluate skills to determine placement of players. We will try to honor player requests where possible. Everyone Makes The Team! We depend on support from parents to help coach their child’s team if you can help in any way please let us know.

Please help us teach your children to have respect for the referee and their decisions. Even in professional sports the referees can’t see everything, so please rest assured that the referee is doing the best he or she can do and will call what they see, not what you see.

After tryouts the B.A. Youth League staff and coaches will hold a draft to determine teams according to age and skill level. We encourage all parents to get involved with the team. Before the first game coaches will receive team rosters and player schedules for the entire season. Coaches will notify players of your first practice date and time. Jerseys will be available at your first game. Trophies will be given out to the first and second place teams according to the final standings for regular season. The top four teams will play in a Youth League Playoff, for which the winning team will have their names on a plaque in the B.A. Hall of Fame.

**Basketball America reserves the right to place players in a competitive level of play.

Remember this is to be a fun league for the kids. Spectators are just that (spectators) and should not talk to ref’s or coaches during the game! Help us teach your kids respect and good sportsmanship!
